Maleta Dianne
Hughley
Jan 6, 1976 — Jun 12, 2026
Roanoke
Ms. Maleta Dianne Hughley was born on January 6, 1976, to the late Alvin Woody and Nancy Hughley. On June 12, 2026, God called her home to eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.
Maleta was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who never met a stranger. She attended school through the 10th grade and dedicated more than 20 years of hard work and service to Franklin Aluminum. Her strong work ethic and determination were admired by all who knew her.
Maleta had a joyful spirit and a personality that could light up any room. She loved to sing, dance, and keep everyone laughing. If you knew Maleta, you knew she enjoyed talking a little junk and having fun with family and friends. Her laughter was contagious, and her love was genuine.
Above all else, Maleta loved her family. She was a devoted mother to her three children: Douglas Tucker,Shaquille Hughley and Quamesha Robinson. She was especially proud of and crazy about her seven grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable joy and happiness.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Douglas Tucker (Shaquetta), Shaquille Hughley, and Quamesha Robinson (Quinn); seven beloved grandchildren; her siblings, Willie Hughley, Richard Hughley of Roanoke, Alabama, Demetrius Turner of Dadeville, Alabama, Tanya Hughley of Roanoke, Alabama, Latrice Woody of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Allison Russell of Dadeville, Alabama, and Ashley Minnifield of Opelika, Alabama; her beloved daddy, Willie Heard; her special friends, Kathy Morgan and Sabrina Calloway; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and dear friends.
Though our hearts are heavy with sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that Maleta's love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will remain with us forever. Her memory will continue to live on in the lives of all who were blessed to know and love her.
