Debra East Holloway was born on June 6, 1958, in Lanett, Alabama, to the late Otto Riley East and Mrs. Margie Ketchie East. Mrs. Holloway cherished her family and was renowned for her infectious personality. In her leisure time, she delighted in quilting, sewing, crafts, cooking, and baking.

One of her favorite pastimes was traveling with her children. Mrs. Debra was married to Mr. Edward Holloway, and they remained wed until her passing. She was a member of the Vashti Order of the Eastern Star #431 and the Miriam Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #32, serving as Past Worthy Matron in both chapters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto Riley East and Marie Ketchie East, and her brother, Michael East.

On Friday, January 9, 2026, Mrs. Holloway peacefully passed away at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her loving husband, Edward Dean Holloway; children: William Henry Holloway, Christopher Riley Holloway (Brandi Alexis), and John Westley Holloway; grandchildren: Jet Westley Holloway, Jacob Alexander Holloway, Riley Gage Holloway, Lucas Dylan Holloway, and Victoria Harper Holloway; brother, Walter East (Rhonda); sister-in-law, Patsy Brown (Ben); Tina East; aunt, Susan Hornsby; uncle, Edward Hornsby; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday January 14, 2026 at 6:30 P.M. EST at the Lanett Masonic Lodge #656, located at 656 South 5th Ave, Lanett, AL.
