Adam Rodney Meigs was born on May 12, 1965, in Langdale, Alabama, to the parentage of the late Kenneth Meigs and  Sharon McClanahan Meigs.

Adam was a graduate of Springwood Academy, Class of 1983. Mr. Meigs attended Southern Union State Junior College in Valley, AL; and Midwest Bible College in Greeley, Colorado. He attended Valley First Assembly of God Church, where he demonstrated his love for the Lord. Adam returned home and for several years he worked for Interstate Telephone Company, and also for Bell South. Adam enjoyed many things in life, but he was most fond of his son, Jackson. He was employed with his father for many years through the family business, Meigs Plumbing, where he continued to work until his health began to fail. In his spare time, Adam enjoyed rebuilding engines for old-school cars and had a passion for racing. He was also a lover of good food and could point you toward a good restaurant from Florida to California.

Adam was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Meigs; his brother, Jacob; his grandparents, Ernest (Mac) and Lorene McClanahan; and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Meigs.

On Wednesday, September 9, 2026, Adam quietly transitioned from this life at his residence. His passing on this particular day was especially heartfelt, as his brother, Jonathan, was celebrating his birthday on September 9.

Adam leaves to cherish his memory his son, Jackson Adam Meigs; his loving mother, Sharon McClanahan Meigs; his brothers, Darrin Meigs and Jonathan Meigs (Laura); and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

We also honor his dear friend, Dr. H. Dewayne Bridges, who faithfully checked on Adam and stood by his side throughout his illness. His friendship, care, and unwavering support will forever be remembered and appreciated.

Adam will be remembered for his love and dedication to his family, his passion for vintage automobiles, his appreciation for good food, and the many lives he touched along the way. His memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and finally for his love and unwavering faith in his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
